First Day of Ballet Class!

Ellie had her first day of ballet class this morning! She is in a class of nine 2 and 3 year olds -- Princess Ballet. Her teacher is a very patient woman (Shannon in the green shirt) -- she is so good with the girls! Ellie is excited to dance with her friends, and is learning how to follow instructions, to freeze, to walk along the yellow line, the difference between inside the ballet box and outside, how to wait her turn to be called upon, how to walk on a balance beam, how to turn in a circle while holding a bunch of flowers above her head, and other fun skills. They also learn ballet principles -- how to chasse (sa-shey), how to curtsy, how to be quiet like a ballerina ;).... The class meets once a week and will culminate in a recital in the spring. The girls are all adorable -- so fun to watch!

Eugenie Lilley, who is helping in the class, Ellie and Hannah as class begins.
